My Coaching Approach

I follow an evidence-based training style, staying up to date with the latest exercise science while also tailoring to the needs of the client. I believe that the programs that work the best are the ones that are followed and enjoyed. Together we create a plan that fits you, meets you where you’re at, and changes as you do.

Clients often tell me they appreciate how much they learn in the process. My goal isn’t just to help you reach your goals, but to prepare you with the knowledge and skills to succeed on your own for years to come.

Hi, I’m Mychal Callender, a personal trainer and Kinesiology student with a passion for helping people build strength, confidence, and consistency, in and out of the gym.

I started working out when I was 17 years old,  a skinny kid who wanted to get bigger and stronger. I never made immediate or fast progress, so I learned to love small and slow progress towards my goals. That experience taught me that real results aren't built in a month, but requires patience and consistency over years.

Why I Coach

The most rewarding part of my work is seeing my clients make progress and reach goals they didn't believe were possible, and then how those skills, habits, and confidence built in the gym translate into other areas of life, teaching them that they are capable of doing hard things. My mission is to make that experience possible for all the clients I work with.
